Hi Group,
I am running a pi EchoIRLP Node. (Dave Cameron Supplied) Node runs fine so far for some time. I can connect to other nodes from radio with no problem. When I log in to the node via SSH and bring up the Echolink command prompt and try to connect (.connect XXXX) xxxx is node number I get no response back. If I invoke the .users command it indeed shows the node I connected to but the node is in fact not connected. I checked the echolink console of the node I tried to connect to and no joy it shows no connection. If I connect from my iphone it connects and shows my connection in the .users command . This is the first time I tried to connect to another echolink station via the CLI so not sure what I may be doing wrong.
You need to use the IRLP mechanisms to make the connection, to ensure
that the system state is consistent. For example:
decode xxxxxxxxx
If # is your Echolink prefix and you're connecting to node 12345. you'd use
decode P12345
Or you can use the echo_call script
echo_call 12345
There is one exception to this rule - if you're already connected to an Echolink node, and want to connect to another (if you're configured to
allow multiple connections), then you would use tbdcmd to make the
additional connection.
