• Net 2 problem?

From RetroSwim@21:1/101 to All on Thu Sep 25 02:14:24 2025
    Hi all!

I think the Net 2 hub is having some issues, I haven't received messages from it since the 21st. Last message in General Chat was apam replying to themself about TLS.

My BinkD logs indicate I'm still successfully connecting to it, polling, and uploading messages. But they seem to vanish into the ether. I've sent a netmail to Areafix and got no response after around 15 mins.

I don't think it's just me either. 2o4beers is also on Net 2, and has the same most recent message in General (plus some that other members on that board have posted in the meantime). Also an echo I sent yesterday in BBS Support hasn't shown up there.

I understand network issues stopping posts reaching other hubs, but we don't seem to be exchanging posts on the same hub!

This is all the information I can think of for now. Hopefully something simple to fix! :)

    Cheers,
    RetroSwim

    Howdy,

I think the Net 2 hub is having some issues, I haven't received messages from it since the 21st. Last message in General Chat was apam replying to themself about TLS.

I think there is an issue, Todd's been emailed.

What some folks can do is get a second feed from Hub 3 (if you want) - a couple already do do that. Inbound Netmail will only go to your assigned hub, but echomail and Outbound Netmail will flow OK.

If you want to do that, just login to clrghouz https://clrghouz.bbs.dege.au and claim your BBS (it should be there - although I havent been importing nodelists for a while, so I might need to help you find it), and then I can activate your address to also feed from Hub 3.

The only thing to be weary of, is doing a rescan, as clrghouz wont know you've seen messages that originated from hub that is not your assigned hub, so you will get dupes.
