My faithful espresso maker pulled its last shot yesterday. The boiler was getting up to speed when the ground fault circuit breaker tripped.
I'm in the market for an espresso machine in the $350-$600 range, any suggestions? I like the Breville Barista Express, but am a little concerned about all-in-one appliances. I'd hate for the grinder to break while the espresso machine worked.

I've got the Breville, albeit an older model, still with the grinder. I think I've had it for the better part of 6/7 years, and its probably
been used daily since I've had it.
I'm torn between the Breville and a Gaggia Brera, a fully-automatic espresso machine selling for $439, less than the Breville. The Breville is on sale for Xmas, I should make a choice soon.

Have you considered trying to repair your current machine? It
may be a simple component swap, or just clearing some corrosion.

I looked around the inside with a multimeter and a magnifying glass, and didn't see anything that jumped out at me.
I have a huge moka pot, think it's 6 cups. I need to get a little one
for making 1-2 cups. It's almost impossible to make a good single cup with the big models.
