Which pcs are those?this one! my insane 286 from 1991 @ 25 MHz with 16 mb of Ram and 2mb of EMS! and it is all psimped out!
Oeh Legacy indeed!Which pcs are those?this one! my insane 286 from 1991 @ 25 MHz with 16 mb of Ram and 2mb of EM and it is all psimped out!
my fast overclocked buggy 486 at 160 MHz it can run quake at 17.5 fps!Very nice, I wanted the joys of oldskool systems with new motherboard and CPU. Ended up with Nixsys system, installed my old soundblaster pro and enjoy doing some DOS stuff indeed. In the end I want to be able to play all old Sierra/Lucasarts games.
it got 256 mb of ram (insane!)

I never heard of Nixsys! People are still making system with ISA slots!? thats kind of crazy cool.
I am desperately in need of a wroking MOBO with an 8BIT ISA slot. Sadly t and 486I have with those slots are not longer functional. I've got a CGA and monitor I want to work, but the card cannot be plugged into a 16bit IS slot due to overhang on the card.

The Nixsys N370-T70 is perfect, turn off all cashing and it can be a slow as a 486 =).
I really recommend it, I use a IcyDock for SSD drives and have seperate ones for DOS, Windows 95 and Linux.

Both Nixsys and Synology are overpriced but it saves me so much time and I can do what I actually like.
They allow me to use the devices as a hobby instead of building and maintaining them as a hobby ^^.
thats kind of crazy cool.yo u can get XT clone mobos rather cheap (checks) from, like $70+ to about

HArd for me to justifiy the cost, and more importantly, collect yet another computer in my already burgeonong collection
MY wife certaintly would not be happy with another addition!yo i hear this exact quote all the time in the retro world at DFW!
