Help, How can I change what editor MM uses? I absolutely HATE VIM. Or
is there a better QWK reader for linux? MM was the only one that came
    up in the Software manager.

You can try NoCarrier Mail, you can even use Microsoft Edit in Linux or even MacOS.

Matthew, thanks for the mention! Seems like its working ok for you (I haven't had any new bug reports)... :)

    I just released v0.55

For sure. When it first runs, it asks if you want to edit .mmailrc
file, but, it uses the VIM editor, which I also severely dislike. If
it asked which editor to use in the initial edit, that would be
    great.

I didn't see that question when I first ran it. But presenting a drop
down menu listing the available editor options WOULD be ideal. As well
as ones for setting the directories where to find the qwk files and
where to place the rep files. ---

I maintain a fork of MultiMail called NoCarrierMail. I started the fork since there hasn't been a new release of MM for several years, and the issues in the MM repo don't have any recent replies.

I just released v0.55 and although I didn't add a dropdown menu for the config options, I added a ctrl-p keybinding that will open the config file.

As for finding were the qwk and rep files go, that's shown in the config file. As of NoCarrierMail v0.55, another way is when pressing F2 to save the reply packet (which is usually done automatically).
