I cant seem to get syncterm running on opensuse any tips out
there?
We need a bit more than this. Is this in a terminal or on X?
How are you launching it? Are there errors? What version?
latest version for linux downloaded from official syncterm website,
so do not know the version number but I am assuming latest official
release. Yes from X or (wayland) actually it will not run, no error
what so ever. I was merely asking if anyone out there running
opensuse had successfully got syncterm to work? Side note netrunner
will not run either.
I just tried to run SyncTerm on opensuse Tumbleweed. I did an ssh to
the server as my bbs users and then compiled and launched SyncTerm and
it was just fine.
Are you running from the console which is running X or are you
connecting via ssh and trying to run it from there using a Windows
based xserver like xming?
Do you have xauth installed?
Since you couldn't be bothered to give any sort of error messages that
might indicate what is going on, that's about as much as I can help you
with. Bottom line, it works.
FWIW there's a few issues warnings when compiling
"grep: warning: stray \ before #" lots of times
"egrep: warning: egrep is obscolescent; using grep -E" lots of times
lots of various 'xxxx' accessing x bytes in a region of size xx
Otherwise, works fine.
opensuse uses gcc 12.2.1
