    Between those two, I'd go for the Breville. The next step up
    would be something like a CC1, I'd think, of if you're really
    in the mood jump to a Decent.

    At home, I've got a Rocket Mozzafiato Evoluzione R, which I
    really like: the integrated PID controller is really nice.
    Before that I rocked an Isomac Venus for about 10 years, but
    it's beyond repair. :-(

    Have you considered trying to repair your current machine? It
    may be a simple component swap, or just clearing some corrosion.

    Get yourself a Moka Pot. :)

    I have a huge moka pot, think it's 6 cups. I need to get a little one for making 1-2 cups. It's almost impossible to make a good single cup with the
    big models.

    Hmm.. You said it was a ground fault? I wonder if there are
    any electrolytic caps in the power supply. Those may short to ground.

    Small ones can be interesting.. a bit hit and miss on how well they actually function. Experience tells me to avoid super budget versions.
